Suppressant is a dark tale about a world that has been ravaged by a plague, destroying
all signs of civilization and leaving behind only small makeshift communities of people
fighting to stay alive. The film takes place many years after the outbreak and follows
Paul, one of the very few people in the world immune to the airborne virus. Paul lives in
a small community that is working to develop a suppressant for the virus; being an
“immune,” Paul is the perfect candidate to sell this false hope. Willfully ignorant of the
struggles around him, Paul hides from his own past behind a salesmans smile, his sharp
wit. When the suppressant brings death to Paul’s only friend, Paul is forced to discover
the prices of his ignorance; and what exactly it is that he is selling.
